Gala of Grace Raises Record-Breaking Funds for NSCSS
North Shore Crisis Services Society (NSCSS), in partnership with BlueShore Financial, is thrilled to announce the outstanding success of its annual Gala of Grace fundraiser, held on Friday, April 26 in North Vancouver.
The event, which aimed to raise vital funds supporting individuals and families in crisis, surpassed all expectations, thanks to the overwhelming generosity and support of our community.
This year's Gala of Grace raised a record-breaking total of $165,220 to support NSCSS' essential programs and services. These funds will help to benefit women and children overcoming violence, providing them with access to safe housing, counseling, support services, and more.
Event highlights include:
Ceremony and Land Acknowledgements with Squamish Nation Powwow Princess Sariah Jacobs-Greene and Councilor Shayla Jacobs
Special performances by Keava McCormack, 11th grade student and human rights advocate, auditioning for Julliard, Royal Academy, and other top opera schools next year.
BlueShore Financial’s 11 ft. tall Cherry Blossom Giving Tree, Gala of Grace Timeline, and Double Your Impact Campaign, raising $13,900 for NSCSS
Darwin Construction’s Bloom Bar, a tribute to families at NSCSS’ Hope’s Place
Harbour West Consulting’s Bar and Signature Cocktail, “The Pink Harbour G&T”
A spontaneous donation from Lauren Steele, who generously provided our live auction with another 4-day retreat at Sakinaw Lake Resort, raising $12,700 for NSCSS.
"We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this year's Gala of Grace," said Sandra Lee, Chair of the Gala of Grace at NSCSS. "Their support truly demonstrates the collective commitment to uplifting those in need and creating a safer, more resilient community for all. The success of the Gala of Grace would not have been possible without our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees. Their generosity and altruism have made a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.”
NSCSS extends its heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the Gala’s success outside of the event as well and invites the community to continue supporting its ongoing efforts to ensure that every woman and child feels safe, valued, and confident in their future.
