Accessing Our Office
At NSCSS, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for our community, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone who visits us.
Office Address & Hours of Operation
Our programs (PEACE Program, HPP, and Outreach Services) are located at #200- 147 16th Street West in North Vancouver, next to Andrea’s Restaurant (link to: Google Maps)
We are open Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, excluding holidays. When our office is closed, the elevator will not open to the second floor.
Please call our office at 604-987-0366 if you have any questions or concerns.
Driving here (parking)
If you are driving, this area can be busy! Leave a few minutes to find parking. There is limited free street parking with 30-minute, 1-hour, and 2-hour spots along 16th Street and Chesterfield Avenue.
Transiting here (bus)
If you are taking the bus, several bus routes will take you within one block of our building. Bus routes 232, 230, 229, 240, and 255 each have bus stops within walking distance of our office.
Signage & Wayfinding
We are on the Second floor of a 3-floor building near Lonsdale Avenue and West 16 Street. Outside, we do not have a large sign with our name on it. At the entrance, find a blue directory with our company name “North Shore Crisis Services Society”.
Wheelchair Accessibility (bathrooms)
The front door can be heavy and does not have a “push to open activation switch”. If this is a barrier to accessing our office, please call us at 604-987-0366 and we will assist you at the door.
At the moment, our gender-neutral bathrooms may not be accessible for all wheelchairs.
Taking the Elevator
To access the front door of the building, you will notice a covered area with a slight slope up from the sidewalk with a metal railing leading to the front door. You will find an elevator to your right. Call the elevator by pushing the button beside the elevator doors. Press "2” for the second floor.
If the elevator door does not open, press the “OPEN” button on the left side of the doors.
Taking the Stairs
At the main entrance on the ground floor, continue straight down the hall, past the elevator and NUDERMA Laser Clinic to take the stairs. Open the door at the end of the hallway if it’s closed. Turn right to find a set of stairs. Walk up one flight of stairs and ring the doorbell next to our door. We will greet you at the door shortly!
Friendly Staff Assistance
Our well-trained staff is ready to assist whenever needed, ensuring that you feel supported and valued. Sometimes, our administrative assistant is away from her desk tending to other important matters. In these cases, please ring the desk bell to let us know that you have arrived. Please help yourself to our water dispenser and glass cups near the waiting area.
Flexible Seating (with free wifi!)
Various seating arrangements are available to accommodate diverse preferences and requirements, ensuring comfort for all guests. On the right of the elevator or left of the stairs, you will find a small waiting area with a couch, some chairs, pamphlets, and an interactive dollhouse in front of our administration desk. Free wifi details are upon request.
