From Schools to Supportive Housing, Lynn Valley Legion Champions Local Causes
At North Shore Crisis Services Society (NSCSS), we believe in the power of collaboration to drive meaningful change in our community. Last week, we had the privilege of seeing this in action through the inspiring efforts of local leaders and organizations.
Together with the Lynn Valley Legion Branch 114 and two Lynn Valley elementary school Parent Advisory Councils (PACs), we celebrated the incredible projects they are bringing to life. For instance, one of the PACs is building a safe, creative, and wheelchair-accessible playground—an initiative that promises to foster inclusivity and joy for their school community.
Adding to the spirit of community support, Lynn Valley Legion Branch 114 awarded a generous $2,000 grant to NSCSS for Janet’s Place, our second-stage housing program. This funding will directly support women and children escaping domestic violence, providing them with a stable and secure environment to move forward and rebuild.
We are deeply grateful to the Lynn Valley Legion for their unwavering commitment to uplifting local families and creating a brighter future for our community. It’s partnerships like these that remind us of the incredible impact we can achieve when we come together.
Whether it’s building inclusive playgrounds or offering a safe haven for families in need, these efforts showcase the strength of collective action. Thank you to everyone involved for joining us on this journey of empowerment and transformation.
