North Shore’s biggest mountain biking event for women, trans, and non-binary riders returns this weekend!

Riders unite! The NSMBA WTNB Fiver Series returns to Mt. Fromme on Saturday, September 16 – Event begins at 4:30 PM.

For $5 + NSMBA membership, riders of all levels will have the opportunity to connect and send it alongside (up to) 100 self-identifying women, trans, and non-binary riders in 3 timed stages. Once riders finish the circuit, they can head to the afterparty (hosted by Steed Cycles and Peppermint Cycling Co.) to enjoy great food, drinks, games, prizes, and more.

This event is capped at 100 riders on a first-come-first-serve basis. There’s plenty of room, so you’ll most likely get to participate!

NSMBA’s WTNB Fiver Series speaks to a rising demand for safe and inclusive spaces, and stronger gender-equity in sports. Earlier this year, the NSMBA hosted their first charitable riding event series called, “Break the Cycle” with North Shore Crisis Services Society (NSCSS), a local charity that provides safe shelter and support services for women and children escaping violence in our community.

To help them thank their supporters, NSCSS has partnered with Steed Cycles, Arc’teryx BC, Ferrari Contracting, and other major local brands to give away $100 gift cards, athletic gear, riding experiences, and limited Break the Cycle merch. Don’t miss out on chances to win amazing raffle prizes at the afterparty! Proceeds will help fundraise for stronger local safe housing and service programs for women and children who need a safe place to call home. Visit our programs page for more about our charity.
