
Funding will equip PEACE Counsellors at the North Shore Crisis Services Society (“NSCSS”) with the resources required to support youth experiencing violence on the North Shore.
North Vancouver, British Columbia, June 8 – TELUS Friendly Future Foundation®, through the TELUS Vancouver and Coastal Community Board, has donated $5,000 to contribute towards PEACE Program effort in supporting youth experiencing violence on the North Shore, while providing education to schools to empower students, spread awareness, and provide tools to building healthy relationships.
Laura Reynolds, Executive Director of NSCSS says, “We are thrilled to receive this generous grant which was provided in honour of Charmaine Crooks and her retirement from the TELUS Vancouver and Coastal Community Board. The PEACE program is generously funded by the Province of BC however NSCSS actively fundraises each year to provide additional program hours to meet the demand for service here on the North Shore. This generous donation will help us provide those additional hours that are greatly needed for youth who have experienced violence.”
